Little River Canyon Rim Parkway (AL-176)

Carving along the rim of Little River Canyon National Preserve—often called the 'Grand Canyon of the East' and one of the deepest canyon systems east of the Mississippi. AL-176 is an exhilarating, cliff-hugging two-lane road with dramatic 600-foot sandstone drops directly off the road shoulder. Features technical uphill S-curves, rapid direction changes, and pull-offs with breathtaking views of Little River Falls and Eberhart Point. Pavement is well-surfaced but narrow with zero runoff room on canyon-side turns.
